When: October 28th @ 7:30pm
Where: JG 104
What: Chateaux Lagrange and D’Issan Tasting
Both Chateaux have been great friends of DeVinimus for years, and we’re happy to host them again! They are among Bordeaux’s best, and were both included in the original 1855 classification (compiled at the request of Napoleon III) of Left Bank Bordeaux producers, which is still the most important and prestigious classification of highest quality Bordeaux wine.
Matthieu Bordes, general manager and winemaker at Lagrange will be in New York for a few days and has found time in his schedule to personally present several of his wines with us. Bob Cunninham, who many of you met at Wines 101, will be standing in for Emmanuel Cruse, Matthieu’s counterpart at D’Issan and another friend of the group.
The tasting will be structured as a side-by-side vertical tasting of the two producers’ wines starting with a couple recent vintages, and then moving back in time. If you’ve never had a chance to experience first hand the way a wine develops over the years, this should be an educational treat.
