What: Chateau Lagrange/Chateau d’Issan Tasting

We know it’s been a few weeks since Wines 101 and everyone is probably ready for another wine event – so it’s our pleasure to invite you all to a tasting of wines from the famous Chateaux Lagrange and D’Issan. Both Chateaux have been great friends of the club for years, and we’re happy to host them again. They are both among Bordeaux’s best, and were both included in the original 1855 classification of Left Bank Bordeaux producers, which is still the most important and prestigious classification of highest quality Bordeaux wine.

Matthieu Bordes (see him speak here!), general manager and winemaker at Lagrange will be in New York for a few days and has found time in his schedule to personally present several of his wines with us. The tasting will be a side-by-side vertical tasting of the two producers’ wines starting with some recent vintages, and then moving back in time. If you’ve never had a chance to experience first hand the way a wine develops over the years, this should be really educational and fun.
